Object Descriptions
This section provides a short description of all the major objects in the book. This can be printed out as a study guide for students, used as a "key" for leading a class discussion, or you can jump to the quiz/homework section to find worksheets that incorporate these descriptions into a variety of question formats.
Objects
Kingfisher, Oklahoma - This is Sam Walton's birthplace.
University of Missouri - This is where Sam attended college and was Rush captain of his fraternity and president of the student body. He graduates from here with a business degree.
Newport, Arkansas - This is the location of the first Ben Franklin store that Sam owned.
Bentonville, Arkansas - This is the location where Sam opens his first variety stores and eventually is the birthplace of Wal-Mart. Today, this location is also the headquarters of Wal-Mart operations.
