Character Descriptions
This section provides a short description of all the major characters in the book. Characters
Sam Walton - The subject of the autobiography and creator of Wal-Mart, this individual talks about his life and the overall expansion of his business.
Helen Robson Walton - Sam meets this individual who is bowling with another man on a date. Sam convinces her to eventually date him instead and they fall madly in love.
David Glass - This character first sees and describes with horror the first Wal-Mart that Sam opens in 1962.
Jack Shewmaker - Originally a manager with Kroger supermarkets, this individual is one of the first college graduates...
