Objective

Objective: in Rocket to the Moon, setting plays a major part in creating the mood, developing conflict and telling the story. This lesson will focus on the importance of setting in Rocket to the Moon and how it helps create conflict between the characters.

1. Class discussion: In what city is Rocket to the Moon set? Is this an easy city for the characters to live in? Why or why not? How does the setting affect the characters in the play?
