Object Descriptions
This section provides a short description of all the major objects in the book. This can be printed out as a study guide for students, used as a "key" for leading a class discussion, or you can jump to the quiz/homework section to find worksheets that incorporate these descriptions into a variety of question formats.
Objects
The Bay-fronted House - This place is the center of the universe for the narrator, who grows up there.
Chilies - One of the characters is punished when these, in powdered form, are rubbed over his body.
Onions - One of the characters protects himself by rubbing these over his body to keep an unpleasant individual away.
Lists - Both the main character and the narrator maintain these.
The Ocean - This place is a source of fascination and fear for both the main character and the narrator.
