Object Descriptions

This section provides a short description of all the major objects in the book. This can be printed out as a study guide for students, used as a "key" for leading a class discussion, or you can jump to the quiz/homework section to find worksheets that incorporate these descriptions into a variety of question formats.

Objects

Ireland - The entire story takes place in this location.

Grianan - These ruins are the site of Eddie's killing.

The Farmhouse - Eddie is brought to this location and interrogated before he is taken away and killed.

Home - This is where the boy lives, located in a run-down area on the outskirts of Derry.

School - This is where the young boy receives his education.
