Speech Day

Have the students follow the pattern provided by Socrates in this book to help them write a good speech. Hold a day for all the students to come and present their prepared speeches. You can assign them topics or have them choose one of their own.

Chapter Titles

Split the class into groups, and assign each group one of the sections from this book. Have each group come up with a title and create an illustrated title page for their assigned chapter.

Courage and Virtue

Have the students create a visual representation of how they think courage and virtue really are connected.

Children's Books

Have the students each create one page of a children's picture book version of this book. Assign each student a specific scene, and compile all the pages together. Be sure they avoid the more mature themes when necessary.
