Objective

1) Class discussion: What did Steve's father do for a living? What did Steve's mother do for a living? How did Steve get along with his mother? What type of relationship did Steve have with his father?

2) Partner discussion: divide the class into groups of two or three. What activities did Steve enjoy as a child? What type of student was Steve in junior high? What type of student was Steve in high school? What type of friends did Steve have as a child?

3) Writing assignment: Write a short biography for each of Steve's family members. Be sure to include their job history, what type of person they were, and what impact they had on Steve's life.
