Character Descriptions

This section provides a short description of all the major characters in the book. Characters

Avery - This character is a preacher that spends most of the play trying to raise funds to build a church.

Berniece Charles - This character feels very protective of the piano's legacy and refuses to let it be sold. This character also refuses to play the piano and, as a child, thought that spirits slept inside it.
