Lesson

1) Class Discussion: Ask the students the following questions; Do you know anything about the author, V.C. Andrews? Have you heard of or read any previous works by V.C. Andrews? Why does V.C. Andrews use such an androgynous name?

2) Group Research Project: Research, via the internet or at the library, V.C. Andrews' biography. Information should include her early childhood, her career, her important works, her death and how her work continues. Ask the students to present information to the class.

3) Individual Creative Writing: Write a few pages on the reasons you believe V.C. Andrews wrote this story...
