The 20 enjoyable, interactive classroom activities that are included will help your students understand the text in amusing ways. 1. Map

Draw a map of Comala that illustrates where you imagine the main places mentioned in the story are located. Include the Media Luna ranch, Eduviges' house, the church, the cemetery, the plaza, and Donis and his sister's house.

2. Obituary

Write an obituary for any of the main characters. Give a brief description of their lives and how they die. Who are their survivors? How do they want to be remembered?
