The Sawi situate their villages along this crocodile-filled river and its tributaries. All travel in the region takes place on this river.
This is the name the Sawi use for one rare, long open stretch of the river on which everyone in the region travels. Richardson builds his home here so that the missionary plane can land on the river near it.
