Map It

Have the class find Ireland or Barrytown on a map. Have the class predict how long it would take to travel to these places from your students' hometown by foot, boat, airplane, swimming, etc. Then, have the class actually figure out how long it would take to travel to these places from their hometown using various transportation methods.

Make Forts

One of Paddy and his friends' favorite activities is to find old materials at the construction sites and use the materials to make forts. Provide the class with various materials and allow the class to work in groups to make forts.
