Object Descriptions

This section provides a short description of all the major objects in the book. This can be printed out as a study guide for students, used as a "key" for leading a class discussion, or you can jump to the quiz/homework section to find worksheets that incorporate these descriptions into a variety of question formats.

Objects

Orthodoxy - This term refers to any religious system which has doctrines that must be believed on the basis of the authority of some institution.

Evolution / Darwinism - This was the belief that modern organisms evolved from older, lower forms of life. Many people took this theory and extended it beyond biology, however, and saw society as constantly evolving and improving.
