Create a collage from magazines and newspapers that explores the subjects and themes in Edward Said's Orientalism.

Films

Give students the opportunity to research and view a film that relates to the subject of Orientalism. Students may then write papers discussing what information they gained from the film as related to the study of the book.

Impacts of Immigration

In Orientalism, author Edward Said focuses much of his analysis on Orientalism in Europe and before our contemporary age. Conduct research and develop a presentation that examines the impacts of immigration to the West from the Orient and how immigration has changed Western perceptions of the East.
