Character Descriptions

This section provides a short description of all the major characters in the book. Characters

Nostromo - This Italian sailor has settled in Sulaco on the advice of his friend. His name is a corruption of the Italian word for "Our Man." He often does dangerous favors for the aristocracy.

Captain Joseph Mitchell - He takes great pride in his work and in the reputation of his company. The most important thing for him is his own honor and he is quick to take offense when he feels he has been dishonored.
