Apartheid was the division of South Africa's society based on race. It lasted from 1948 to 1994. The objective of this lesson is to discuss apartheid and its effect on South African society.

Lesson

1) Pair Work: Research and Historical Time line: Students should research the history of apartheid in South Africa and create a time line of the apartheid laws and major events under apartheid.
