Objective

On the night TWA Flight 800 crashed, two lovers videotape the event and then panic. Five years later, investigators attend a memorial. Discuss the conflict that will propel the plot and foreshadowing.

Lesson

1) Class Discussion: Discuss TWA Flight 800. Introduce the true history of this event and discuss with students the theories that surrounded the crash during the investigation and the results of the investigation. Discuss with students the lovers on the beach and the impact of a videotape of the crash on the investigation. Ask students what might have happened in reality if there had been a videotape showing what the lovers believe there is on their tape. Discuss the memorial and the impact on the lives of the family members of those who died the night the plane crashed.
