Character Descriptions
This section provides a short description of all the major characters in the book. Characters
Henri Becquerel - This character is credited with the first discovery of radioactivity.
Dr. Curie - Upon a death this character came to be a caretaker for the two girls.
Eve Curie - As a child, this character took little interest in the family preoccupation with science, preferring the study of music, and she had an early career in journalism.
Irene Curie - As a teenager, this character began to assist her mother in the laboratory and was given an official position as an assistant at the Radium Institute in 1918.
