Object Descriptions

This section provides a short description of all the major objects in the book. Flame - This object is a brig, or two-masted ship of slight draft and fairly light tonnage and is captained by Captain Chadwick.

Porta Coeli - This object is a brig, or two-masted ship, of slight draft and fairly light tonnage. This is nicknamed Silly Porter.

Chassee-marée (Bonne Celestine) - This object is a large French gunboat designed to operate only in coastal waters. This particular object is captured by Captain Horatio Hornblower and later returns to Le Havre under the control of Lebrun.
