Short Story

Look Both Ways is a collection of 10 interconnected short stories. Each story in this collection can stand alone, but when read as a collection, the reader pieces together the connections between the characters and events. Write a short story in a similar format as those in the book. Students might choose to create a character list of protagonists with basic bios and then interconnect their stories.

Phobias and Traumatic Events

Several characters in Look Both Ways are traumatized from past events, such as Satchmo's dog attack and Canton's mother being hit by a bus. Conduct research on the impacts of trauma and methods of treatment for such cases.
