Character Descriptions

This section provides a short description of all the major characters in the book. The Father - This character is a banker.

Bertha Grant - This character receives an opal ring as a birthday gift.

Latimer - This character has supernatural powers to foresee certain events before they happen.

Charles Meunier - This character becomes a renowned physician and the narrator's only friend.
