Object Descriptions

This section provides a short description of all the major objects in the book. This can be printed out as a study guide for students, used as a "key" for leading a class discussion, or you can jump to the quiz/homework section to find worksheets that incorporate these descriptions into a variety of question formats.

The Jungle/The Forest - The entire book, except The White Seal and Servants of the Queen, takes place here.

The Law of the Jungle - An unwritten code that governs the civilized creatures, including the wolves.

The Monkey City of the Bandar-Log - An elaborate ruin where Mowgli is taken after he is kidnapped.

Council Rock - The traditional place of the Wolf pack tribunal, which is held the evening of each full moon.

The Village - Where Mowgli goes to live when he is turned away from the Wolf pack.
