Character Descriptions

This section provides a short description of all the major characters in the book. This can be printed out as a study guide for students, used as a "key" for leading a class discussion, or you can jump to the quiz/homework section to find worksheets that incorporate these descriptions into a variety of question formats.

Characters

Bill Denbrough - This character is a successful novelist who seems quiet and soft spoken. This character stuttered badly as a child.

Michael Hanlon - This character is the head librarian at the Derry Library and an amateur historian who is collecting stories about Derry to preserve them for future generations.

Ben Hanscom - This character is a famous architect who lives in Nebraska on a large ranch and owns a plane and a company.

Eddie Kaspbrak - This character is a hypochondriac who runs a limo company in New York.
