Daily Lessons

Objective: In the first few chapters we are introduced to the main character who suffers from a fear of snakes. This leads to a fall which breaks his leg. When he was found, two other characters show him how they deal with fear. The objective of these assignments is to take a closer look at how we deal with fear.

1) List some things fear can do to a person. How can it be used against a person? A nation? A company? What sorts of fear would be employed for each?

2) Halve the class and debate: Fear limits us as a nation, as a community and as individuals.

3) Discuss different ways of overcoming fear. Which do you think is the easiest way to deal with a fear of something?

4) Create a brainstorm of fears, and how they can be overcome by pairing students and assigning them at least...
