Put on the Play

Divide the class into groups. Assign each group a scene from the play. Allow an hour for rehearsals and assign each group to bring costumes for their characters from home. Have each group perform their scene in front of the class.

T-Shirts

Have everyone bring in a blank t-shirt. Using fabric markers, allow the students to design t-shirts they would wear to the trial in Hillsboro. The shirts should express a loyalty to one side or another.

Town Fair Potluck

Assign the members of the class to bring in an item of food either listed in the play or one they feel is appropriate to demonstrate the town of Hillsboro. While hosting this town fair potluck, have the students discuss who they feel should win the trial and why.
