Character Descriptions
This section provides a short description of all the major characters in the book. This can be printed out as a study guide for students, used as a "key" for leading a class discussion, or you can jump to the quiz/homework section to find worksheets that incorporate these descriptions into a variety of question formats.

Charles Whitman - A twenty-five-year-old man from Austin, Texas, who shot forty-six people in August, 1966.
Kenneth Parks - A twenty-three-year-old man from Toronto who had a sleepwalking condition.
Charles Darwin - A nineteenth century naturalist who published the influential book "On the Origin of Species".
Sigmund Freud - An influential theorist and psychiatrist who developed a method of treatment for mental conditions that he called psychoanalysis.
Marvin Minsky - A computer scientist who worked on the development of artificial intelligence and robotics.
