Movie Day

Have students view all or parts of the film version of Gone with the Wind. Have them vote at the end on the number of stars they think the movie should receive, as if they were film critics.

Character Match

Assign each student a character from the novel. Have the students act and speak as if they were the character and have other students try to guess who the character is.

Gone with the Wind Play

Have students (or groups of students) create a play from a scene in the novel and perform it in front of the class.

Atlanta Newspaper

Have students write articles as if they were living in Atlanta during a particular part of the war. Assign students different aspects such as war news, society page, etc.
