Lesson 1 (from Chapters 1 and 2)
In the first two chapters of this novel, a group of dissatisfied train workers is introduced. They are discussing the possibility of a strike, with some people unsure about the strike even on the morning they go on strike. The objective of this lesson is to compare and contrast the arguments for and against the strike.
