Object Descriptions

McLean Hospital - This location is a well-respected and famous hospital that provides treatment and care for mentally-ill patients.

South Belknap Two - This is the name given to the medium-security ward at McLean Hospital, which houses Kaysen and the other women discussed in the memoir. The ward's chief doctor is Dr. Wick and the head nurse is Valerie.
