Character Descriptions

This section provides a short description of all the major characters in the book. Characters

Crazy Bridget - This character is an old Irish settler that the other settlers go to when they are sick.

And-Ongen Hansa - This is a nickname for one of the characters that means "The Duckling."

Anna Marie Hansa - This character is young toddler when the families first set out for the frontier.

Beret Hansa - This is the most moral character who fears the westward move.
