Cast a Film

Give students the opportunity to cast a film version of "Gargantua and Pantagruel". How would they portray the giants and the other magical creatures in a movie?

Costume Day

Give students an opportunity to research the style of dress worn by the characters in the novels and recreate (with parents' permission) a costume worn by a character of their choosing on "Costume Day."

News Article

Ask students to look in their local newspaper for an article that involves some aspect of the novel and bring it to class. They will present it in front of the class and explain why it relates to the novel.
