Setting

Create a landscape of the Lakeside Tavern. Use quotes from the text to create an accurate depiction.

Family Portrait

Create a family portrait either through collage, drawing, or painting that depicts Sissie and her family at any point in the story.

Storyboard

Create a storyboard for one of the summers that Sissie describes. Note the important events that occur as well as Sissie's most prolific or descriptive thoughts.

Act Out a Scene

In a group of two to four students, act out any scene from the book. Explain to the class why you chose this scene to act out and why it is a significant one to the book.

Documentary

Create a documentary based on any element of the story. For example, your group may decide to make a documentary about alcoholism or teen drinking. The documentary should be about ten to fifteen minutes long.
