Objective

Chapter 1

Chapter 1 introduces the book's main protagonist, Vinnie, and the secondary character, Chuck. They are both Americans traveling to London, but at the onset of the novel, the similarities seem to stop there. Vinnie, who has traveled to London before, is experienced at finding a window seat and avoiding conversation while flying. Chuck, an outspoken American "cowboy", makes every attempt to engage Vinnie in conversation. This lesson will discuss the similarities and differences between Vinnie and Chuck.
