Object Descriptions
This section provides a short description of all the major objects in the book. This can be printed out as a study guide for students, used as a "key" for leading a class discussion, or you can jump to the quiz/homework section to find worksheets that incorporate these descriptions into a variety of question formats.
Objects
The Baseball Field (Introduction) - This is the location where the narrator comes to meet the main character of the novel. This location is also a place where the main character has often sought the approval of a parent.
The Wedding Photograph - This item is the catalyst that causes the main character to fall into a depression and begin a downward spiral to attempting suicide. This item represents failure to the character receiving it.
Pepperville Beach - This place is a character's hometown in California.
