This book autobiographical. The objective of this lesson will be to review some major aspects of Mark Twain's life and discuss how this autobiography affects the believability and the feeling of the book.

Lesson

1) Life Review of Author: Provide a brief overview of Mark Twain's life, along with some of the major events in his life. Split the class into groups and assign each group one of the major events from his life. Instruct each group to study their event and write about how this event would have shaped his life and affected his writing style. Allow each group to present their information. Discuss some of the different ideas that are presented.
