Fun Activities

The 20 enjoyable, interactive classroom activities that are included will help your students understand the text in amusing ways. 1. Freedom out west

Give the students a blank map of the United States. Each student is to draw a timeline on the map that starts from right to left. The east coast represents the early 1600s and moves into the dawn of the 19th century as it moves westward toward Kansas. Include events that relate to black history in America. Events from the play should also be included.
