Object Descriptions

This section provides a short description of all the major objects in the book. This can be printed out as a study guide for students, used as a "key" for leading a class discussion, or you can jump to the quiz/homework section to find worksheets that incorporate these descriptions into a variety of question formats.

Objects

Hermann Hospital - This is the location of nearly all of the story's main events.

Committee Meeting Rooms - These are various open hospital rooms.

Ben Taub Hospital - This is the public hospital in Houston which is responsible for the health care of those who cannot afford the cost of their care.

Methodist Hospital - This is the largest private hospital in the world, and incredibly wealthy.

Patrick's Home - This is a small, dark and depressing house, in one of the poorest parts of Houston.
