The 20 enjoyable, interactive classroom activities that are included will help your students understand the text in amusing ways. 1. Word Search

Using the names of the characters in the story, create a word search puzzle.

2. Who Is Joseph Stein?

Research the author, Joseph Stein, and write a short biography about him. Include some of his other works.

3. Map It Out

Create a map for the fictitious village of Anatevka. Include specific homes and landmarks. Where is Tevye's house? Motel's shop? The village inn? Add as much detail as you can.
