Character Descriptions

This section provides a short description of all the major characters in the book. Characters

Paul Atreides - He inherits not the lush planet Caladan, which his ancestors have ruled for 26 generations, but the desert planet Arrakis, also known as Dune.

Lady Jessica Atreides - A trained Bene Gesserit sister, who 16 years earlier leaves the order to become the concubine of Duke Leto Atreides, ruler of Caladan. She has an oval face, hair the color of polished bronze, wide-spaced and green eyes.
