Claire has a secret she's been hiding from her daughter Brianna her entire life. Now she's come to Scotland to find a way to reveal this secret and convince her daughter of the truth of the account. Family secrets can be very difficult to handle. In some cases, bringing them out into the open can be healing for everyone involved. In other cases, it may be best for the secrets to remain concealed. In any case, the holder of the secret carries an enormous responsibility and faces difficult choices. The objective of this lesson is to explore the effects, ramifications, appropriateness, and ethical questions regarding secrets.
