Li'l Petey

This character is a young cat and he is the true protagonist of the seventh and eighth books in Dav Pilkey's series, Dog Man: For Whom the Ball Rolls and Fetch-22. This character is not treated very nicely by his father, nor by his grandfather, but he retains a positive attitude throughout his family's trials and tribulations.

Petey

This character is a cat and he is in jail when the seventh book, Dog Man: For Whom the Ball Rolls begins. This character is subsequently pardoned by the governor and he sets out to repair his relationship with his son. This character is a harsh but ultimately loving parent. This character becomes more optimistic over the course of the two books, largely due to his son's influence.
