By examining these elements before delving into the text, the students will be better equipped to analyze and interpret the literature. The objective of this lesson will be an orientation to the novel.
1) Class Discussion: Lead a discussion with the class on the following: What do we know about the novel from the title alone? What kind of a name is Corregidora? Do you think the novel is about a man or a woman? Why?
