Object Descriptions

Objects

The Turner Mill - The plantation where Nat grows into manhood and learns carpentry skills.

Dismal Swamp - The place where Nat and his men initially hide after the rebellion.

The North Star - The "sign" that many slaves follow when escaping toward freedom.

Person's Millpond - Nat uses water from this place to baptize Ethelred Brantley.
