Chapters 1-6:

Laurell K. Hamilton is the author of "Circus of the Damned", as well as the other books in the Anita Blake series. Physically, she is very similar to Anita Blake, and like Anita, her mother died when she was very young. This lesson will focus on the author and her biography.

Lesson

1) In Class Reading: Hand out copies of a short biography on Laurell K. Hamilton. Have the class read the biography and take notes in preparation to discuss it.

2) In Class Writing Assignment: Write 1 to 2 paragraphs about Laurell K. Hamilton and her accomplishments, based on what you have learned from the biography.
