1. What makes Christy volunteer in Cutter Gap and would you have done such a thing, if you were in her place?

Christy goes to Cutter Gap with the hope that she can help the people there. She seems to long for adventure but, if I were her, I would stay closer to my family and perhaps volunteer in my own community.

2. Do you feel that Christy's great love of children is good or bad and why?

I feel that it's a wonderful thing that Christy loves children and wants to help them. After all, life is short and children are the future of the world. If people like Christy didn't teach children, the world would be an awful place in the future.
