Character Descriptions
This section provides a short description of all the major characters in the book. This can be printed out as a study guide for students, used as a "key" for leading a class discussion, or you can jump to the quiz/homework section to find worksheets that incorporate these descriptions into a variety of question formats.
Characters
Hercule Poirot - Considered one of Agatha Christie's greatest detectives, this character is Belgian, small, neat, and precise in nature, brilliant in discovering the truth, and takes time to prove a case before making accusations.
Mr. Shaitana - This character is wicked, arrogant, attractive, foreign, hated and deceptive, inflicting pain on others and getting people to tell embarrassing secrets.
Mrs. Ariadne Oliver - This character is a writer of mystery fiction who is colorful, forceful, and comical in nature, and discovers an incriminating secret about another character involving a suspicious death.
