This lesson discusses the author of the novel "Briar Rose", Jane Yolen.

Lesson

1) Library research: Have the students research the author, Jane Yolen. Explore the other works she has written, as well as her personal background. Take a look at interviews and the author's website to gain information on her writing and where "Briar Rose" fits in with her other novels.
