Fun Classroom Activities

Write your own blues song lyrics. Be as creative as you'd like, but keep the lyrics appropriate.

Write an obituary for Oceola's mother. Keep it to 1-2 paragraphs in length.

Pretend that this short story is becoming a movie and create a trailer to give the audience a sample. You can videotape your trailer.

4. Flyer

Create a flyer to promote one of Oceola's recitals. Choose a character's persona to write the flyer in. For example,...
