This section contains 30 daily lessons. Each one has a specific objective and offers at least three (often more) ways to teach that objective. Lessons include classroom discussions, group and partner activities, in-class handouts, individual writing assignments, at least one homework assignment, class participation exercises and other ways to teach students about the text in a classroom setting. Objective: In Act 1, Scene 1, the mother argues with her son after he uses a knife to cut some grapes. She states that weapons can "split the body of a man apart", which seems to be a very bold statement in context to such a mild action. This lesson will discuss the role of weapons in the play.
