RPGs

These objects are large grenades that are shot out of a large, tube-like weapon and were responsible for shooting down two Black Hawk helicopters during "Black Hawk Down".

NODs

These devices were among many pieces of equipment Rangers chose to leave behind at their base for what was supposed to be a short, daylight mission. The objects proved to be invaluable to the few who managed to procure one during the long night of fighting on October 3-4.

Canteens

These refer to drinking water bottles designed to be used by hikers, campers, soldiers and workers in the field.

Aden House

The crash of the first Black Hawk helicopter damaged the corner of this home occupied by Abdiaziz Ali Aden and his family.

This refers to a group of people united by actual or perceived kinship and descent.
